Eclecto studio teaches workshops and art classes for kids and adults, alike. Offering both family crafts and specialized art sessions for the child, we invite a sense of play to unlock creativity and experiment with a variety of mediums and approaches. Classes include drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, puppetry and more! We work with ages 5 and up, young adults / teens and adults.

About the Instructor:

Instructor_Michelle_Eclecto
Classes are led by artist/designer Michelle Vorce, who began the seed of Eclecto Studio in winter of 2020 after being impacted by the pandemic and losing her job as a teaching artist working in schools across portland metro. Her work has been exhibited nationally with features in the Coastal Learning Symposium, Southern Graphics Council International, Imagine Science Films and the great outdoors. As part of her practice, she has developed transdiciplinary curriculums in partnership with Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Girls Inc., and Portland State University. She infuses youth-led and collaborative experiential approaches in her teaching style and believes in the transformative power of art to heal and offer modes for unique expression and community. Michelle earned her MFA at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Collaborative Design and has served as adjunct faculty at Portland State University. Eclecto Studio specializes in working through the hand to create memorable objects and experiences with soul.
